Discovery Box - 5 Flavors Tea

I've had some instant coffees before but not a lot of instant hot tea.I tried the Earl Grey, and was surprised the flavor wasn't as bad as instant coffee. Maybe I'm just not used to drinking tea, but I thought it was passable. I used 1 packet with 300ml water about 85 degrees C, which is normally coffee brewing temperature, not tea. It was weaker than I normally make tea, but I don't drink tea often enough to say that I'm doing it correctly. Probably not, in fact.It also says good with cream, so I added some coffee creamer that I had on hand and liked the mixture.The only thing I'd like was if it gave a better kick, it's not as much of a pick up as coffee.I would be ok switching my 3rd or 4th cup to one of these, but not replacing coffee entirely.Did not try cold, but it's probably fine

Despite the small packets, the ZIPTEA Freeze-Dried Instant Tea Powder is quite strong. I add one packet to about 16 oz of water and find that it gives me a good tea strength for my taste. The powder dissolves really well in room-temperature water. I sometimes drink it hot and other times enjoy it cold. This freeze-dried tea is very convenient to simply add it to a bottle of water for an instant tea. There is no need for hot water to brew the tea.The ingredients mention tea leaves, botanical ingredients, and natural flavors, which makes me a little curious about what the botanical ingredients and natural flavors actually are. The tea does give a very nice aroma.Each flavor has a different caffeine level, and I wonder how they are being measured. But, it's nice that you can choose different types of tea depending on how much caffeine you prefer.I’m not sure if this is a newer type of tea product similar to freeze-dried fruit products, but I do think the price is a little high at $16 for 10 small packets, which is equivalent to $1.60 per packet.Overall, these packets make good-tasting tea with just the right amount of bitterness to my liking. They taste refreshing when enjoyed cold and soothing when enjoyed hot or warm. I especially like the 5-flavor option because I can enjoy sampling five different teas.

I ordered the variety box which contains 10 packets of tea powder, 2 each of 5 different flavors. I wanted to try all the different flavors instead of being stuck on a single flavor.I'm not exactly sure what to make of this product. The idea seems great on the surface, but the execution just doesn't satisfy as well as expected. It's powdered tea, but not what you'd expect, itndoesnt look like leaves and it's not super dry. The packets contain what looks like cocoa powder, the kind of powder that looks almost oily or almost wet.The powdered tea does dissolve pretty well in hot water with a small stir. Each packet can make a 16oz drink, using less water for a stronger flavor or more water for less flavor. I can taste the different flavors, but they're just okay, nothing that wowed me. But none of them were terrible, so that's good.The price is pretty high for what this is. If I wanted hot tea I would much rather use a tea bag and hot water and it's much cheaper. The real use case for this is probably for drinking iced tea while traveling. It's like taking an electrolyte packet with you and having a flavored drink on hand at any time. With that in mind, I don't think this is really made to be consumed every day, but rather as needed out of the house. It allows someone to make tea anywhere with any temperature water. So this really shines for traveling and drinking it cold, since hot water is not always available at a moment's notice.

I like that the box includes five different flavors, so there’s some variety instead of drinking the same tea every time. The individual sticks are also easy to throw into a bag without taking up much space.My husband travels regularly for work and takes these with him on his trips. They’re a great quick alternative to coffee when he wants something easy without having to find a coffee shop or make a whole cup of tea. He can just mix a packet and have a drink ready in no time.I also appreciate that they have zero sugar and zero calories. Between the convenient individual packets, variety of flavors, and easy preparation, these are especially handy for travel. We’ll definitely keep some around for my husband to grab before his next work trip.

I will admit, I was a bit hesitant to try this out seeing that it's made in China and was worried it would not taste good. I came in a bit skeptical and decided to give it a try.I have only tried a few of these in cold water, I haven't finished the whole pack yet. I started with the Jasmine green tea. First thing I noticed is that the powder clumps a bit and required a bit more stirring than the advertised "3 seconds". I'm sure it would dissolve better in hot water but I wanted to enjoy a nice cool refreshing glass of tea.I have had a lot of different teas in my life and this tastes like an herbal blend of tea which may be a bit intense if you've only had regular generic tea bags.I then had the Hibiscus Rose Tea. Imagine the smell of a floral rose. This flavor has a reddish tint to it and a very floral taste to it. Definitely very strong and flavorful.Usually when I make herbal teas, I have to heat up some water, scoop up some loose leaf tea and place it into a brewing cup, wait a few minutes for it to steep, and then wait for the tea to cool down to a drinkable temperature. This instant tea is definitely much faster and easer without sacrificing flavor.
